Jeff Solomon
Author: Justin Blaney“Never give up on your passion” Jeff told me as I asked him what he wanted his music to relay to others. This is something he does not lack at all, but to go with that passion, there is an underlying burst of creativity and talent. At times, bellowing in a bassy Cash-vibe and just moments later, flying on a high falsetto, his range is deceivingly brilliant.Standing at 6′1 and looking like someone being drafted by the NFL more than a talented, tender musician. When asked about what he wanted people to know, He said this,”I want to simply live the life I love, and love the life I live and I am grateful to still have the capacities to do so.” There are no gimmicks or pretentious acts with this gentle giant, only a depth of emotion, passion, and great music raring to get out. He is currently working on his EP, Palms Boulevard with a great team of producers. The release is scheduled sometime late this year.
Since he was a little boy, he has been doing some form of music, whether singing or playing his Dukes of Hazzard toy guitar for his mommy at the age of three, rocking out a crowd of thousands at sixteen, or playing the Blue Bird at 25 . Now in his early thirties, after forming countless bands, working with tons of people in the industry, he is writing songs again and bringing them to us in a way that only he can do it. Silky soul with a country twist. The songs, Gone, Who Holds My Soul, Sleep Baby Sleep and Storms are all made up on the spot in the studio. Improvising is another talent that always keeps the crowd on their toes and he will often do the same in the studio, just to see what happens. This collection of songs are all written, performed, recorded and produced by him alone in his west LA residence. He is currently at Family Affair Studios in Malibu, CA. recording his debut EP-Z.Shales, LAzine
